Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traveled to speak to defense personnel in the Pokrovsk area on the weekday. The president confirmed that he met with fighters at the military base of the initial brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya zone, a town approximately a short distance from Pokrovsk.

Critical Situation in Pokrovsk

Updated analysis from a local initiative revealed that invading troops had advanced deeper into Pokrovsk and its environs, though a large portion remained beyond firm control by both forces. The conditions are severe, with accounts indicating that invading units were digging in and enhancing fortifications in various sectors.

Ukrainian Long-Range Assaults Deep Inside Russian Territory

Ukrainian long-range drones attacked an industrial plant approximately 1,300km inside Russia at Sterlitamak. Local officials announced a detonation at the Sterlitamak facility that caused its water treatment facility to suffer damage, adding that the reason for the blast was not known. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was significant destruction to the plant.

Ukraine's military said it struck a fuel processing plant at Kstovo in the federal district in central Russia. The extent of the damage was under evaluation. The Russian regional governor verified an assault by multiple unmanned aircraft near the refinery.
